Confession I am jealous of all those folks who are getting to enjoy the cozy winters. Unfortunately Mumbai doesn’t offer winters but dryness for sure. For the past weeks I have noticed that my Body lotion is not enough to cater to its purpose. So, I entered the FE store looking for something that would interest me. I came across Forest Essential Bath & Shower Oil. I picked up the Jasmine and Mogra flavour due its mystic and “super wonderful” fragrance.
Company Claims & Key Ingredients:
Forest Essentials Bath and Shower Oil Madurai Jasmine & Mogra has unique skin conditioning properties with Organic Sweet Almond Oil from sweet almonds which is most nutritious, adds glow and deeply moisturizes. Apricot Oil nourishes, softens and improves skin elasticity. Sunflower Oil is rich in Vitamin A, D and E. Vitamin E protects skin from UV rays and pollution, is an anti-oxidant and natural preservative. Gokharu makes skin supple and rehydrated. Deodaru revitalizes dry and dull skin. Avocado Oil is rich in vitamins like A, D, E, minerals and several essential fatty acids. It provides nourishment and is considered to be one of the best emollients for skin care. It is also rich in Sterolins (plant steroids) and triggers the production of collagen, excellent for firming and toning the skin. Jasmine Essential Oil is mood uplifting, while, Mogra a sweetly scented variety of Jasmine, is stress relieving and has a soothing effect on dry skin.
Making of the Product:
A blend of light water soluble oils combined as per an Ayurvedic formulation, to use in the bath or wet skin after cleansing.
How to use:
Use on wet skin in the shower after cleansing to seal moisture on the body, or pour two capfuls into warm bath water.

Shelf Life: 2 years. Should be used within 6 months of opening the bottle.
My Verdict:
Forest Essentials Bath and Shower Oil Madurai Jasmine & Mogra is a blend of light water soluble oils combined as per an Ayurvedic formulation, to be used in the bath or wet skin after cleansing. I prefer using it after bath otherwise I feel, if used during the shower leads to product wastage.
This oil has replaced my body lotion post bath when the skin is still moist. The oil spreads beautifully on moist skin and gets absorbed easily. The quantity required is very less. Initially I was hesitant of applying it after bath, thinking it would stain my clothes. But I was wrong. No where the oil stains my clothes.
The oil is thin in consistency and light yellow in color. It percolates well and keeps the skin hydrated and supple for a very long duration, say for the entire day, without making me feel greasy. The mild fragrance of Jasmine lingers around me for 9-10 hours, making me feel fresh and subtle.
The cost is high as the brand is positioned as a premium luxurious Ayurvedic extract. But believing that I would use this oil only during winters and one bottle will last me the entire season, I was ok with spending.
The packaging is a light weight premium looking transparent plastic bottle with a golden cap. The bottle in turn comes in an earthly looking carton which is mentally painful to discard.

Overall Recommendation:
Forest Essentials Bath and Shower Oil Madurai Jasmine & Mogra is an after bath oil which can replace a body lotion during winters & dry weather. It keeps the skin well hydrated and smooth without staining the clothes. The fragrance is worth the indulgence that lingers for the entire day. The price is on the higher side but totally worth for the pamper.
