My Go to Go Eye Shadow Palette- Coastal Scents Revealed Palette Review & Swatches

The extensive color matrix Coastal Scent’s Eyeshadow Palettes have always reminded me of the old Star War movies…..they look like the small multi colored lights on the space ships. Well, while I have been extremely captivated by the extensive array of colors, I felt they can act nasty while travel or to store. So when in June, this year, Coastal Scents had launched their “Revealed Palette- 20 Eyeshadow color” which was being considered the exact dupe of Naked Palette 2 or 3, I was sold. I was in look out for a neural palette, but that could multitask for a day as well as night look. I wasn’t ready to shell out for Urban Decay. And if I am to go Shakespeare…..”Naked” and “Revealed” have almost the same underlying meaning!!!

And then Coastal Scents went live with the introductory offer, a 50% discount implying to the effective cost of $9.95 (approx INR 645). I immediately ordered it, not one but two. One for me and the other one for my sis. I also turned too thrifty by not choosing delivery to India. Instead I got it delivered at my Sister’s friend @ the US. So I saved almost 30$ on shipping. The sad part, I could only get a hold on it after 3 months, when he travelled to India.

Nevertheless since then it’s become my all-time favorite travel palette. Believe me, you really don’t need any other palette to carry along.

Coastal Scents Claims:

My Verdict:

 Revealed 2 is a gem of eye shadow palette. The shades are smooth, buttery, neutral, pigmented and long lasting. The quality is excellent and comparable to high end eye shadows. The price is on the other hand very pocket friendly.  The shade tones are very earthy which will go along with all complexions.

As the shades are inclined more towards neutral they are wearable during the day. Still, the palette is a combinations of shimmery, pearly and matte finishes and hence, I can play a lot with the colors and textures and create multiple looks. The colors range from browns to taupes, berries to plum, beige to gold, pinks to creams, coppers to bronze. There is also a lightly shimmered black shade.

With and eye primer most of the shades last on my lids for almost 10 hours without much fading. There is also no fallout while application. The pigmentation is superb. Application is flawless and buttery.

The packaging is compact cardboard packaging. Not too glamorous but comes with a carton, and bubble wrap too, that’s convenient for travel. A mirror of course would have helped. Being cardboard packaging also makes it extremely light weight.

Overall, Revealed 2 Palette is total worth for every single penny even if you are not picking it up at discount.
