If eyes are supposed to do the talking for you, then what are your lippies supposed to do???
So getting my focus back to my lips, I decided to try out some new shades, preferably in matte as I have enough of glossy and creamy looking stuff. If you know me, then you are aware that I have thick and dark lips. So I thought of going for highly pigmented and good coverage bright but warm colored lipstick.
I narrowed down to the shade which I thought was absolutely beautiful and brightened up my face.
Inglot claims: The lipstick is enriched with Vitamin E and apricot kernel oil moisturizing formula which is paraben free.
Price: INR 850
My Verdict: Inglot 419 is a highly matte lipstick. The shade is a beautiful deep floral magenta pink. On application it instantly brightens up my face. The lipstick is much pigmented and one swatch is enough to get that killer look. The tip is the usual nib shaped and supports application with precision. But here is the catch…Hey, has Inglot forgotten that matte doesn’t mean dry!! The entire good tale reaches a climax the moment I experience how dry it makes my lips. Though the color blooms and lasts good six hours when applied directly on the lips without a lip balm (Including drinks). Even after a heavy meal I can still see the faded but good amount of pigment on my lips. On a lip balm it lasts for 3-4 hours. I don’t have dry or chapped lips but I still face a lot of friction while application without a lip balm. It’s definitely not recommended for girls with dry lips. Though I adore the shade, I have been put off by its characteristic of drying the lips.
- Beautiful shade that will look good on all complexion. Dusky beauties wont look washed out.
- Long lasting
- Paraben free.
- Not tested on animals.
- Where is the apricot kernel moisturizing formula??? Extremely dry on lips.
- Must be applied with a lip balm, though that doesn’t serve the purpose to a great extent
Will I repurchase: I am not going to buy Inglot Lipstick-419 again. Also now I am wary about buying matte finish lipsticks with Inglot. Though, I might try out their creamy range. And for this shade, I shall check out Color Bar probably!!
