Review and Swatch of MAC Matte Lipstick- Ruby Woo
Hope you are having a rocking weekend. I and Mr. Husband went for “Wolf of Wall Street’ last night. What a kick ass movie it is!! Worth a watch for Mr. Di Caprio’s spellbound performance. He definitely looked like real life drug addict to me!
So what’s one thing you are addicted to?? No, don’t get me wrong. I don’t do drugs. What I meant was what’s one thing you are addicted to in the make-up arena.
For MEEEEE…(the cap lock was to stress on the word and not to sound myself important!) it has to be Matte red lips by MAC Ruby Woo!!!
MAC Ruby Wood doesn’t need an introduction. It’s just that I am so addicted to it that I am morally obliged to write about it (Please note the irony!! The words addict and moral coming together to express my and many other women ‘s utter weak leg towards this shade).
Price: INR 990
Shelf Life: 3 years
MAC Ruby Woo is a bold red shade from MAC’s matte range. Within the matte range, this one is from the ultra-drying variety. The shade is the most beautiful red I have ever seen. It’s got a strong blue undertone. No ‘orange-ness’ at all. It brightens up my face to an extent that I fall in love with myself time and again. It will suit any and every skin tone. A lovely bold red lipstick that will flatter every skin tone.
The texture is very drying that makes the shade a beauty. Yes, the dryness hurts at times but I have no issues with it.
The pigmentation is superlatively good. One swatch and gives an opaque finish.
Lasts the entire day on my lips. Being matte also makes it least transferable.
In short it’s worth every penny.
- The most bold and loveliest red shade
- Totally matte
- Ultra pigmented
- Superb longevity on the lips
- Will flatter every skin tone
- Super drying but I am ok with it
MAC Ruby Woo is a bold red lipstick and is a must have for every girl, irrespective of their skin tone. I bet it will brighten up your face immediately. If you are shy of wearing a bold red lips, I would beg you to try this once. It won’t let you down. Please go grab one if you still haven’t laid your hands on it.
