My Fashion Picks For the Upcoming Festive Season 2014

Fun time is on the way...yes…the festive season is about to start, or rather already started. Ganesh Chaturthi just went by. As a Bong, my most awaited one is Durga Pooja…..I have no words to explain how we Bongs feel about it. And then there is Diwali, which is again “the” thing at my in laws place.

Family, Fun, Food and Fashion, everything calls in during the festive months.

While last year I was more into Skirt Lehengas, and Half Sareers, this year I am totally inclined towards Salwar Suits.

I am still in process of making my season’s festival outfits. While I have purchased most of the material and left them at the boutique for stitching, here I show you what I have in the repository.

Embroidered Straight A-line Fit Long Kurta Suits:

I have called off Anarkalis. Yes, it might be shocking, but I feel they have been done too much. I am bored and I need some change. These delicately embroidered suits are so elegant and pretty. I purchased these three from a local vendor. Made of pure georgette, they are priced between 2400-2700 per set.

These have thread work, embroideries, lace, crochet, in total everything a girl can ask.

By the way these are available on a limited period discount on Fashion & You (Rs 1599)

for to showcase delicateness.

Pakistani Suits

Chuck Manish Malhotras, Tarun Tehlanis…..Pakistani designers steal the show when it comes to the salwar suits. IF you check out their 2014 Eid Collection, I bet you will go gaga over them. From ankle length kurtas to stylish kaftans paired up with cropped pants or palazzos, they create a brilliant picturesque of traditional outfits.  I prefer well fitted kurtas over kaftans due to my short frame. Want Inspirations …?? Check these out-------

  1. Zainab Chottani Lawn Collection 2014: I found the set in cotton. I have ordered for the first one.

  1. Wardha Saleem Eid Collection:

  1. Faraz Manan Crescent Eid Lawn Prints

  1. Sana Safinaz Eid Collection 2014.

Believe me or not I have got ditto pieces from my local vendor who gets these Pakistani suits. I don’t know if they are original, but when I searched the designer names, I saw that these were best dupes one can ask for.

Polka Dotted Track Pants:

Surprised?? Think I  "just jooooooking"???!! No I am not. When in Kolkata, do as the Kolkatans do….We go Pandal-hopping post-midnight for 5 days ..oops night,,,,, to avoid the crowd. And what best to go in than Pajamas & Tees. I picked up two comfortable pajamas from Hill Road market, Bandra. One in pink polka dot and other in pink stripes. Happy Bum in happy pajamas!

Reviewing Fab India Tea Tree Skin Toner

Fab India Tea Tree Toner: We all have our set views and opinions. A lot of times we get too adamant about them and prefer sticking to them and on top of that ignoring the best ones meant for us. It’s no surprise to me that I am also one of those creatures who get carried away by ones own beliefs. I...
